How to turn off https://

The instructions on the Internet don’t seem to apply to the latest Avast - how do I turn off this setting?

Hi Froglet,

If you mean the HTTPS scanning in Web Shield, you can find this setting here:

  • From the main Avast application > click “Menu” in the top right corner > click “Settings”
  • Select “Protection” on the left hand side
  • Select “Core Shields” in the central column
  • Scroll down to the “Configure shield settings” section and click the “Web Shield” tab
