Hi, i’ve recently installed avast! antivirus and would like to know how to turn off the notification you get after each definition update.

Program Settings, Update (Basic), Details… button.
Try the Silent option first. Or you can uncheck the other notification options relating to the update as this I feel is better as you would want to know if a reboot is required and if there was an error.
