From show hidden folders in Folder options, then attrib methods in cmd . Please frnds help me out important files are located in that. I uninstalled Avast , even now it is not showing the hidden folders.

Thanks

Avast does not hide folders. When you moved from windows 8 to windows 7 did you back up the data ?

Hi frnd, actually it is D drive where the folders are hiden , and why to backup when my OS is in C drive. There is $RECYCLE BIN Folder which has some files is ther anything related to that. actually my D drive is 105 GB and free space around 1 gb , so my missing folders are still ther in drive, but unable to view.

That does not make sense as Avast will not touch any slave drive apart from scanning

Avast shouldn’t hide any folders.

But incase you want to make all folders viewable here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to Control Panel
  2. Click Folder Options
  3. Click view
  4. And where you see “Hidden files and folders” press, “Show hidden folders and files”.

And you should be done.
