How to uninstall secureline vpn and other unnecessary crap

Simple…'just go to add/remove programs, select ‘uninstall’, then you can select ‘change’ to get rid of the junkware that the sneaky avast pricks tried to mickey you with. I was never asked or even told about these extra addons, so avast…'ta-taa! Losers!

There is nothing to stop you doing a custom install and selecting the components that you want.

If this is what you think about avast, then why only remove the addons?

Hi George215I

If you call a VPN " junkware ", you have no idea what you are talking about.
Personally I would call people not using a VPN ( or any kind of proxy ) " stupid " !

But you can easely uninstall Avast Components via : Avast - Settings - Components.

Greetz, Red.

There is nothing sneaky about it.
The user has the choice what he wants to install or not.
It is the users own choice to perform a custom installation or not.

If you order a car and don’t specify what color you want, don’t be surprised if it comes in a color you don’t like.

And how to manage components is explained in the FAQ.
