how to update the vps?

I need some orientation.
Would someone be willing to tell me, how to update the VPS (Virusdatenbank) in avast?

Right click the orange ball by the clock > update >

or open avast > maintenance > update

But this should happen automatically if everything is working, or do you have a problem with that ?
