an installation with Business Protection (old console and 35 clients, workstations & servers) is renewing and is practically upgrading to Endpoint Protection Suite.
What is right way to go?
Uninstall BP from all clients, uninstall old console, install new console and re-deploy all clients with EPS?
Or they can just uninstall old console, install new console and through the new console to upgrade business protection clients to Endpoint Protection Suite clients? (or any other way?)
Unless you are changing servers you can install the SOA Console on the same server and it will upgrade the existing database. The run the deployment task to push the new client version or wait for them to check in and download it themselves (if you have auto-update turned on for the program)
Yes, the server will be the same.
So, I have to first uninstall the old console (but keep the database) and then install the new console on the same machine and point it to the old database?
They’re going to use the Small Office Administration console, not the Enterprise that is more similar to the old one.
The upgrade that you mentioned works also with the Small Office Administration console?
