how do I turn off avast to use migration assistant? I’m moving from PC to Apple and have never moved files before.
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
It isn’t just a case of turning off Avast.
I would suggest that you completely remove Uninstall Avast possibly going as far as
- Download the avast! Uninstall Utility, avastclear.exe
- Avast Removal Tool | Download Avast Clear | Avast
- save it to your HDD. Make a note of the steps required or print the page.
The reason I say this is that the Windows version of Avast isn’t compatible with the iOS operating system, so you don’t want ‘any remnants’. There is an Avast version for iOS so you could install that on your Apple system.
