How to use Mirrors for lan w/ 1 internet PC

Sorry if this isn’t in the right forum category.

We have an environment with a 2003 sbs server, plus 9 xp pro computers, and 1 xp home computer. The xp home computer is the only computer with an internet connection. I’ve been reading the manual, but I don’t understand how to use mirrors.

I assume that the ams on the 2003 sbs has one mirror. I’ve also installed a second mirror on the xp home machine (which is the only internet connected computer).

I know I can create an auxiliary task for “Synchronize 2nd level mirror”. This will synch the main 2003 sbs mirror with the 2nd mirror on the xp home computer, right? Do I enter the xp home computer on the “Computers” tab?

I assume the 2nd xp home mirror will download updates from avast. Then the 2 mirrors (2003 & xp home) will synchronize. Then the client computers can download updates from the main 2003 mirror. Some ascii art …
Avast.com → XP Home Mirror → 2003 Mirror → client computers

However, how do I schedule the 2nd xp home mirror so it keeps downloading updates from the avast website? Do I just use a windows task scheduler to run the mirror.exe as a scheduled task?

Is there a GUI that I can use to manage the 2nd xp home mirror?

Basically, I need schooled on how to use the mirrors.

HI,

have the SBS Server Internet access? If not, you have to install the AMS in you XP Home PC, which have Internet access.

Your main mirror is your AMS (your 2003 SBS or XP Home). You don’t need a second mirror, all you have to do is install the AMS on the machine with Internet connection.

avast.com → AMS → client computers (standard configuration)

You can install a Mirror server if you have got a lot of machine, not this case, or if you got different networks (different offices…) and you need central management.

avast.com → AMS → second mirror → client computer
→ client computer

Is there any way I could come up with this topology?

Avast.com → 2nd Mirror → AMS Mirror1 → Clients
