How to view traffic routed trough AvastSvc

Hi,

First off I’ve been a very happy avast user for a while now and I hope that I can resolve my problem and keep using avast

I’ve recently moved to a university dorm with a limited network capacity so I’m careful with my bandwith.
I also noticed that avastsvc has been using a lot of bandwith recently. I do know that this is not avast using the bandwith but that it just acts as a proxy. I have tried to look for an option in the avast web shield to show which processes are being routed trough avast and how much each process is using to find what I think is a malfunctioning program that is using too much data. But I could not find any option.
So my question is: Is there any possible way to do this without disabling avast ?

Specs
OS Windows 7 64bit
Latest avast (not beta)
All shields except mail shield are enabled
Option I’m on a permanent internet connection enabled
Option show monthly logs disabled

(I also noticed that there were some posts talking about slower internet connection. I somewhat think that this sometimes happens but as I never did any actual set of tests with avast enabled/disabled, i’ll make another topic later when I did the tests and notice a significant difference)

So my question is: Is there any possible way to do this without disabling avast ?
there are programs that can do this for you

maybe someone in here know a good program … or try google

You have to remember for any outbound and inbound traffic associated with avastSvc.exe would have come from your system (generally browsing and also program updates, etc.).

AvastSvc.exe for the most part doesn’t initiate these connections. What you are seeing in traffic for avastSvc.exe would normally be associated with your browser or other program, so there would be a corresponding reduction in traffic for your browser and or any other programs that would be connecting to the internet.

So essentially there shouldn’t be an increase in your normal browsing habits because it is redirected through the avast localhost proxy.
