How will 4.8 upgrade to 5.0?

Seeing the avast releases 4.8.1351 to help with the migration, when the right time arrives.
I have tried the new beta and has only 2/3 processes (I think).

So when avast upgrades itself, will it remove all the old exe’s that are not needed?

Will it uninstall 4.8, then reinstall 5.0?

Yes, it will be something like uninstall 4 / install 5, most likely somehow automated.
