I had unplugged my computer (an old XP, SP3) for several days and after plugging back in, I noticed that Avast Firewall began blocking my HP 5520 wireless print process, i.e, HPNetwork CommunicatorCom and HPNetwork Communicator. After much searching for solutions, I found one forum suggestion concerning a different type of blocking action was to initiate the Avast “Repair” function. Apparently this did solve the problem - I’m posting on this forum simply as an aide for someone that may encounter same situation.
