https github

Hi, avast does not allow me to access to this url: https://github.com/; it tells me that the page is not secure.

By including the address in eceptions (https://github.com/* and https://assets-cdn.github.com*) the problem is solved.

Is there an alternative to correct this problem? I do not like to add the url to eceptions.

Thanks.

My avast version is: Avast FREE 17.5.2303

Google Chrome. What is your chrome version?

Version 60.0.3112.90 (Build oficial) (64 bits)

Pls try other browser and see if the problem gone or not.

Ok pls go to web shield and untick ENABLED HTTPS SCANNING option.

Yes, the problem is solved, BUT :stuck_out_tongue: if I will inactivate that option I am going to lose that utility over ALL https pages;

My question is:

Why I have problems with: https://github.com/ and I do not have problems with others https pages like https://espanol.yahoo.com/?p=us or https://forum.avast.com

Maybe Is this a BUG??

  • OS…? (32/64 Bit…? - which SP/Build…?)
  • Other security related software installed…?
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

That looks like a certificate problem which is coming from Google not Avast and seems to have been resolved.
I just went to the site without problems:

OS: Windows 10 PRO Version 1703 64bits
Other security related software installed: Kaspersky protections free
AV before Avast: none

You can use Avast or Kaspersky but not both. Only one resident AV per computer.
