Hello,

After I update Avast to version 4.6, https pages stops working… including my bank account.

I noticed that if I stop browser protection module these pages start working.
If I change any settings or only pause this module I cannot use any https pages.

I use win XP and I have Kerio personal firewall installed on my system.

Is there any way how I can start using again that browser prot module again with https pages?

Strange,HTTPS pages are ignored by Web Shield anyway.

just terminate the web shield and avast will work just like before. web shild appears to work well with some and not at all with others like me. Mine is exaclty the same problem.

That is a poor choice and from your previous posts, it is not exactly the same as your problem, you mention nothing about https:

@oneofus
What browser are you using?
No problems here with https: they don’t get checked by web shield.
Is there anything in your firewall logs?
Were there any error messages displayed?

DavidR you seam to post alot and probably try to do well but are a very annoying and from what I see actually do not help at all. what I have seen do very little to help anyone but tell them to check things they already have done. or go to the help file ::slight_smile: and yes I have mentined this in another post.

Be glad that there are people who spend their free time (or part of it) at least trying to help others. Calling them anoying isn’t a nice thing to do.

And your advise to oneofus isn’t of any help at all.
It is not solving the problem.

I think you could learn from David.

wow I must have ruffled your feathers but telling you that the advice you gave was poor.

As to my advice/help I have far more posts thanking me for my help to worry about your brick bat. There is no way you have checked the 2000+ posts I have made to be able to access the help that I give. You have to ask questions to get to the bottom of the problem.

I won’t waste any further time you obviously know it all and don’t require any help, bye.

Thank you

Hello,

I get all working fine after I disable proxy for SSL (secure) ;D

oneofus, could you be more specific, please? Which proxy did you disable, exactly?
Thanks Vlk

When this problem happens, I have same proxy enabled for all protocols.
After i turn off selection ‘use same proxy server for all protocols’ from IE6 proxy setting then https pages starts working

I also try Firefox ant it have same problem ( so problem is in Avast)
My ISP proxy server uses port 80

I just try to enable proxies for all other protocols than secure (SSL) and it seems work fine.

Problems comes only when i use proxy for SSL protocol.
If i enable SSL proxy and stop browser protection module from avast I can use https pages.
