Today i install a adblocking software called Adguard. All protection of the software are activated except parental control and adguard assistant and browser extensions of the software. My system is Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit,Avast Premier,Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit,Win Patrol Pro,Zemana Anti-Logger Pro,MC Shield. Okay the software ran fine no issues and no malware, spyware and etc. My system is clean no virus or issues since this is a fresh recover from disk image backup and all windows update, drivers update, programs are all up to date.
When i open firefox go to any site that is using http or https i click on the padlock icon i noticed that when browsing avast forum, avast https site and other https or http site that had been verified by https scanner of avast is now different and is now verified by Adguard.
Now the question is will avast! be able to scan websites that is using https or http protocol and also the email sites such as gmail and yahoo mail and other mail sites?
The second question is if avast! cannot scan it anymore what options do you recommend to me.
1.Go to Adguard application and disable browsing security.
2.Leave it alone.
I tried and test your suggestion for me i reactivated HTTPS Scanning on Adguard Settings and test
the links that you gave to me and i found out that when i open the first link that you gave the result are The connection was reset but no avast! Alert Popup that appeared on my screen. On the second link… As can you see from my before and after download of eicar test file neither before downloading nor after downloading the eicar test file avast didn’t stop the download nor show the alert that either
the antivirus program block it or failed to blocked it. Well that is strange… :o
Now avast techs needs to discuss with the Adguard techs how to make Avast https work with Adguards https scanning if that is possible, they both use WFP ( Windows Filtering Platform ) so it’s possible that https scanning cannot be shared when both running on the same platform.
WFP is also an option to use in Adguard but from what I’ve heard it’ll be standard with the version 6 release.
