Since last Tuesday, every time i open a new tab i receive a new message from avast saying they have blocked a new threat: URL hxxp://cdneurope.com/tr/contentTrActive.json It happens only in google chrome
What does this mean and how do i stop it?

This is a specific GoogleChrome worm. Wait for a qualified remover to guide you through the removal of this malcode. Follow the instructions to the dot,

I have the same problem, I uninstall my Chrome and delete all data preferences, when I install a clean version of Chrome the problem disappeared, but later I log in with my gmail account, the extensions and bookmarks were recovered and then the problem returned, I think is a Extension’s problem, can I put my logs in this post or I need open a new thread?

I just registered to raise this issue. I’m having exactly the same problem. And It’s annoying the life out of me. I’ve tried several tools to malware and spyware removal with no benefit.

I did the same thing as @josvil but did not result in any thing as the problem returned right away.

However, I’ve tried disabling chrome extensions and applications and it seems that it solved it the problem. Now I’m trying to figure out which one is the culprit.

Hi,

This is just to let you know that I had a similar problem appear recently and it appeared to be due to a single chrome extension called Orbvious Interest. On disabling it problem solved.
