It showed up on boot scan in a number of locations and files…I saved to chest, but one of them said file was full…
what should I do?
i think you should try to delete it or get superantispyware and malwarebytes ! correct me if im wrong avast
The problem is you have an infection on your system that is infecting the pages (by injecting malicious code into them) and that is why avast is detecting the pages as you browse.
A boot-time scan may not find anything other than the injected pages but not what for responsible for the injection.
The one that said the chest is full is actually misleading as it is the file which is bigger than the Maximum size to send. You can change this setting - Program Settings (right click the avast ‘a’ icon), Chest and increase the ‘Maximum size of file to be sent’ value, see image.
If it keeps coming back, there is likely to be an undetected or hidden element to the infection that restores or downloads the file again. What is your firewall ?
If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it, preferably in safe mode and report the findings (it should product a log file).
