I can not cennect by dial-up modem...

I can not cennect by dial-up modem when I installed AvastPro.
How I can do?

Thx V Much.

Without knowing more we can’t give much help.
Your question is like going to a doctor.
Patient: “Doctor I got pain”
Doctor: “Where?”
Patient: “I don’t know”

Make sure ALL parts of Avast have permission in your firewall.

do what eddy said and see if that works if not uninstall avast try connect if it fails it could be your modem or it could be your isp ( internet service prodiver )

Thx every answer but now I use other ware. It,s good and no any problem.

I can’t believe you gave up this easily, that is your choice and I believe your loss.

I have dial-up connection and no problems at all.

Wow, you’ve bought avast! Pro and then give up?
Did you acquire your license legally?

I rather think he was on the 60 day trial pro version.
There is no way I would would give up after paying for it for something likely to be this simple.
Especially since he has given us virtually no information to help him. No error messages, is it avast settings or firewall, no information.

ha ha Eddy very good no info no help thats why i like this forum we always get the jokers who think we can mind read. 8)

He will be back when he gets no help.

??? It must be very hard if your English isn’t very good, to express specific info.

Then again I suppose they were online somehow with or without a Modem

I don’t have anyway after I installed avast pro then I can not connect to internet by my modem then I uninstall avast pro it’s can not connect too. I format harddisk and install WindowsXP Pro now I can connect to internet and now I use kaspersky antivirus pro. it’s no any problem and I love it. I know avast have VRDB engine. it’s great. kaspersky have too?

Thx V Much

You’ve just buy Kaspersky few seconds after avast! did not work?

Yes. It’s great and I like it.

I think what Tech is saying (without putting words in his mouth again ;D) is. Buying a product, experiencing what I would consider a small problem, ditching it without letting us help you (why post asking for help) and buy another product, seems a waste of money. What happens if you experience a problem with Kaspersky, buy another AV?

In fact, at first glance, I’ve doubt that the user realy buy Kaspersky or were using a trial version or, even worse, …

Sorry! I’m not strong in language but now I can connect to internet. I think I modify Normal to High sensitivity option it became to that.

:stuck_out_tongue: I just hate these kind of posts/threads. On the one hand as all the ‘Evangelists’ have said, they’re ready and waiting to help…then this confusing lack of continuity in the information posted.
 Hopefully kakashi, your problems are resolved.

Changing the sensitivity of one of the scanners would have no effect on the ability to connect. You have to be able to connect for the scanners to scan files (no matter what the sensitivity).

Like David said, changing the sensitivity of the residents won’t affect nothing the connection… It should be something different which is blocking your connection and I bet on the firewall. But, please, like Abraxas said, don’t wait so long to post or we won’t be able to help you and will need to read everything again and again…
