Try as I might - Avast WILL not come off my laptop.
It came off my tower machine just fine.
Turn of the new year - you wanted money. I have no money - so … off to AVG I go.

My laptop - it is STUCK like GLUE. I even downloaded an Avast clear thing.
Is right clicking and deleting the folder bad? I just want it off my laptop - I want it gone. It will not do that.
Any ideas?
There is a free version of avast (Avast! Home) that many of us use, which is still capable. You don’t have to run off to AVG (but it is up to you)
Where did you get the “Avast clear thing”
The tool is here: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-uninstall-utility.html if you want to remove avast.
I would LOVE to stick with avast - I’m pretty sure I went with the free edition.
I’ll give it another go - see what happens. Another response to happen here soon …

When it expires … it shouldn’t give us a message that freaks us out. I read it all wrong. I do get it now. I’m stupid sometimes … but not dumb. I had a message that made me believe - something that was not true.
