I cannot get to install avast, I get an error 501

Hey Guys,

I canot install avast, when I press install and click next, I get an error 501 and then a msg “There was an error while completing the setup process”, here is the server log! Can you guys spot anything?

Hi keesky, welcome to the forum :slight_smile:

You are using the CNET installer. Can you try it with the full setup installer:

http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

Don’t choose the ‘Universal installation file’, you want the full ‘English’ file (about 40MB)

I can also see that you are using XP SP2, you should really update to SP3, as this contains many security updates, among other things…
