I cannot register Avast 5.0, register window freezes

When I want to register Avast, its windows (where are buttons “Register now”, “Insert the licence key” …) freezes. I cannot move this windows, i cannot close it (I must kill it from Task manager). Is any possibility, how to register Avast, when I have a serial key (I registered on Avast web sites)? Does anybody know, how to generate registry keys from my serial number?

I uninstalled Avast, cleared registry, user profile and folders in Program files, after restart I made new instalation. Now i have new 30 days, but problem with registration is always here. OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit, firewall Comodo (I tried disable Comodo, but it was the same).

kocourleo, are we talking the FREE version of avast! 5?

If so, just fill in the blanks at the register portion. No other information is needed.

Having same issue, the registration button is greyed out, even after all the required information is entered, just sits there…this is the 3rd time |I have uninstalled and re-installed to see if that would fix the issue.

OS=Windows 7 Home version

Never mind…it’s solved :-[
