I can't edit my profil! - Why?

Hello, I’m new in this forum and want to edit my profil.
But i have no chance to do that, because there’s just one thing I can do:

Modify Profile
Account Related Settings

Other points aren’t there! >:(

I want to make some profil-settings!

Can anybody help me?

You need at least 20 posts to edit profile settings.

… or use Personal Messages – it’s a attempt to stop Spammers.

What a crazy rule - before I have 20 posts, the time-settings and other settings are wrong.

What do you mean with “use personal messages”?

Should I write 20 PM and after that, I can edit my profile, or what do you mean?

  • The problem comes from drive by spammers, who having registered put objectionable or commercial links in their profile signature to try and gain link promotion, etc.

There have also been cases of the PM function being abused to spam forum members, so you will notice that you can’t use the PM function either.

Unfortunately because of the actions of others legitimate members suffer by the actions to prevent this spamming.

LOL ;D ... no, you just need twenty posts, and you can't use pm either in the meantime.

Sorry about that … meant my reply to be a continuation of mathboyx215’s post; i.e., You need at least 20 posts to edit profile settings or use Personal Messages.

One of the Board’s items/requirements that should be noted in the Help or a sticky topic at the of the General Topics board to aid new users. ???
