Hi I just joined the forum. I am about to renew but have mystery about the running of scans. When I signed up I remember a panel that gave me the option - day and time - to choose when to run scans. Now on the avast! panel I can’t seem to find it. avast! just runs the scans anyway. I looked in Help and said “go to Settings”. I did that and there are a whole lot of boxes on the left but none I could find that would do what I wanted. I have to renew in six days and am considering upgrading, so I’d like to try and get an answer before then. Thanks. ???
Click on scan computer, choose the scan you want then more details/settings
Thanks for posting, but: when I click on avast! icon in tray what I get is a screen which heads with ‘Scan Now’ followed by ‘Full system Scan’, ‘Removable Media Scan’, and ‘Select folder to Scan’. Nowhere does it give me a screen saying ‘Scheduling’ as in your JPG. I am still confused and only have 3 days before I decide to upgrade or not.
You have to Open the Scan you are wanting to Schedule, e.g. Quick Scan, More details, click the Settings that gives access to the settings for that scan. Then you will see the details portrayed in craigb’s image.
OK got it eventually, thanks. I had been going to the wrong ‘Settings’, the one with the spanner at the top of the screen. Even clicking on the ‘link’ version gets you a screen that is mostly greyed out (or ‘grayed out’ in your language), but eventually spotted the Scheduling button in a list on the left. AOK now!
