I keep trying to get a registration number for my personal copy of Avast. I’ve tried twice to register and I’ve sent several emails to “sales”, “support” and “register” and I can’t get anyone to help me. In the meantime, Avast is messing up my email!
Anyone know how to get help from Avast or do they just never answer emails? :-[
BTW I’ve checked the registration database and you indeed have already registered. The email was dispatched on Apr/06/2006 04:00:59AM European Time (that is Apr/05 10pm Eastern US time).
So, it remains to find out WHY it didn’t reach your mailbox… :-\
I appreciate the rapid response, but I’m not having any problems getting emails (except from Avast). I’d really like to get this fixed! I did re-check my email and I haven’t gotten any responses from Avast. Can you just email me again?
Although you own your own domain name who hosts the domain, web space, email servers, etc. and do they filter for spam/viruses, etc.
I would try a different email address.
If you have just installed avast, you can use the Demo key which will give you 60 days unrestricted use. This should be more than enough to resolve the registration key email issue.

No, you don’t need to uninstall. Just keep as it is, the Trial version. When you receive the key and inform it (About dialog for instance or starting the antivirus and clicking in the buttom ‘License number’, your installation will be ‘converted’ in the Home version. No trouble.
Can you check your email through webmail? Is there any filter that could be blocking the email to reach you? ??? :
I don’t believe there’s any filter blocking my email…I’m getting all the rest of my email. I don’t know about checking my mail through webmail. Can you just try sending me a test email? This shouldn’t be this difficult. Avast was able to send me an email about logging on here.

Yes....warnings/errors on each email I try to send. Really annoying.
What I was hoping for was detailed information about the errors/warnings not just confirmation (I know you must be getting errors/warnings). Without detailed information we can't hazard a guess as to what the problem might be.
I take it that you tried the steve @ yourname dot com email address in the whois information, rather than assume that because they are hosted by the same people the same would happen. Stranger things have been known to happen.
If they have a spam filter perhaps there is a way for you to add/manage what it filters, e.g. add to a whitelist the avast.com domain.
Cannacare: I think you got the mails today? They were stuck in the outgoing mail queue because of DNS unavailability of cannacare.org. Manual spoonfeeding did help, though

BUT, we need to know the exact text of these errors/warnings ... or ... screenshots of the same would be helpful. The exact text/screenshot is needed because it could be one of several and we have no idea which is effecting your email.
