I can't get rid of "Windows Command Processor" popup virus. Please help?

Hi. I’m a total noob here by the way and I’m not amazing with computers so any help would be amazingly appreciated but please try to give simple instuctions!
So I’ve pretty much got the same problem as this person http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=82254.0
I keep getting a Windows Command Processor popup telling me that it wants to make changes to my computer. I’ve pressed no every time but it always immediately pops up again. I’ve got MSE installed and it keeps coming up with things like “detected xxx potential threats and suspened them”, with xxx being anything up to about 130. I’ve done full scans on MSE in normal mode and after finding and removing them I restart and the problem just comes back straight away. I really don’t know what to do. I also tried a full scan in normal mode with Malwarebytes and it did the same thing. Told me it removed them and then they came back after restarting.

Please help me.

Edit: I’m running Windows 7 too if that’s relevant…

this is the forum for avast antivirus program.

have you tried the Microsoft forum for help?

Check for malware with this

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.51. http://filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
always update before you start a scan
click on the remove selected button to quarantine anything found

post the scan log here

Okay thanks. I’ve just started a full scan with Malwarebytes and I’ll post the data when it’s done. Also before the popups appear Internet Explorer sometimes pops up in two windows, which is odd because I never use it, only Firefox. I assume this is part of the virus but didn’t know if it was relevant…

not necessary to do full scan…make sure it is updated and run quick

Okay cheers. Also should I uninstall Microsoft Security Essentials before running scans with Malwarebytes? I heard having multiple antivirus programs isn’t good…

Malwarebytes will not conflict…but do you have avast and MSE installed ?

No only MSE at the moment. It seems to be better at picking up the viruses as they appear…

Okay thanks for your help. After my scan yesterday it didn’t find any viruses. I restarted and again the popup didn’t appear. Today I did another full scan with Malwarebytes and it didn’t find anything again. I’m doing a full scan with MSE at the moment and if that comes back all good then maybe the virus is really gone for good! I hope so…any recommendations of things I should and shouldn’t do within the next few days just to make sure it’s gone?

In many situations, MSE and avast will conflict. Take care.
