I can't launch avast! Anti-Theft

Hi all,

After uninstall avast 3 months ago, I decided to install it again.
Now I can’t launch Anti-Theft. The following error message appears : “avast! Anti-Theft was found in your system partition, but is not yet registered as installaed. Did you just install rooted ? Please reboot your phone, this should fix your problem.”
I reboot but nothing has changed. Someone has a solution?

did you install rooted at some point in time and then did a system upgrade or something? Could be that there is some leftovers in your system partition.

I haven’t done a system update or another operation like this.
I forgot to mention that my phone is rooted.

you could use a tool like titanium backup to remove that leftovers. /system/app/com.avast.android.antitheft.apk

I resolved my problem with Terminal Emulator : I deleted the file /system/app/com.avast.android.antitheft.apk

Suffered same problem after I updated elder Cyanogenmod to newer one.

I found com.avast.android.antitheft.apk in ./system/priv-app/ , delete it by TotalCommander.

Device is HTC Desire S with Cyanogenmod 11.
