I try a lot of suggestion.
Start manuality de avast Service… and notingh.
Install… repair… Uninstal… reinstal… and same problem: Avast Services isnt runnign.
Also i receive an Windows XP Message: “Erro 108”.
If a Avast Problem … or a WIndows XP problem?

Can you try to repair your installation?
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).

If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?

Do you have any other antivirus installed in your computer?
Did you have in the past? Which one?
Do you use a firewall? Which one?

Also, take a look into Administrative Tools > Services
and see how the four avast services are set to start (automatically or manual).

Can you try to repair your installation?
Yes. and reboot again and nothing.
Then install and reinstall and nothing: every time the Avast service appear “Disabled”.

I change my version of avast: from spanish versión to english version and still the same problem.

Nop. Using Avast for 3 or 4 years.

Do you use a firewall? Which one?
No. I not use any one.

Also, take a look into Administrative Tools > Services

They are set “Disable”. If I do it automatically, sometimes starts and other Windows XP get the error message: “Error 108”.

Can you test downloading servers.def from here: http://files.avast.com/iavs4x/servers.def
Save it to C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\setup folder (overwriting the file there).
Start the update again.

But I’m not sure this is the (only) problem. Your log seems ok.
Are you using avast Home and seems to be registered it correctly. Am I right?

How are set your avast! services?
Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services

I suppose you have to have four avast! services:

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashServ.exe (avast! antivirus service)
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\aswUpdSv.exe (avast! Update Service)
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashWebSv.exe (avast! Web Scanner service)
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashMaiSv.exe (avast! e-Mail Scanner service)

The two first of them should be Automatic loaded and the two last Manually loaded.

Los 4 los tengo que iniciar manualmente ya que no inician.
Cuando quiero iniciar uno me sale el error que mencionaba arriba, y que figura en la imagen adjunta.
Por lo tanto, Avast! no inicia ni me protege.

Did you check this option in the Program settings?

Remember that
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashWebSv.exe (avast! Web Scanner service)
C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashMaiSv.exe (avast! e-Mail Scanner service)
should be set to manual and not automatic.
