i can't use bittorrent with SecureLine

What are you calling a torrent mark? The P2P designation?

I had the same problem and Im not computer savy - however, with a bit of information gleaning from the forum and a bit of nous - I sorted it. I was using qtorrent which I uninstalled and downloaded utorrent instead. Go to Settings in the Avast user interface and then Components. In the Web Shield section, type utorrent as an exclusion then click ok. Open your secure line and find a P2P site like the Netherlands and connect. Your torrent download should work fine but a little slow. Hope this helps

There is no need to set a exclusion for any torrent tool at all.
Many, if not all, will simply work without setting a exclusion.

Next to that, the torrent protocol has never worked as intended.
The idea was/is that it should speed up downloads.
In theory it sounds nice, but in reality it only does so in very rare occasions.
