Avast, for the first time, actually caught hold of 9 viruses. However, I can’t click and highlight them in order to use the apply button to delete them nor will the apply button even work for me. Why? Below is a screenshot of my scan result. Why can’t I delete those viruses? Why is my apply button grayed out?
Do you happen to be using a custom scan with scan memory ticked as those detections are Malwarebytes definitions found in memory which is why they cant be deleted.
Best option is to untick the scan memory option from your custom scan or better still stick to the default full or quick scans.
Yes, it is a custom scan and what does Malewarebytes have to do with this? Are you saying that my Malewarebytes has virsuses in them? If so, should I uninstall it?
Malwarebytes contains virus ( spyware ) definitions as does all AV’s and Malware scanners and this is what avast has detected so no need to delet Malwarebytes, just stick to the normal full or quick scans or if your determined to use the custom scan at least untick scan memory.
It wouldn’t hurt to exclude avast and malwarebytes from each other either if your using the MBAM Pro version.
