your website says 60 days trial. how come mine expires in 6 days? i just downloaded it TODAY.
i downloaded the same software earlier today. it gave me 59 days. but uninstalled it. THEN i reinstalled it. after that i only have 6 days left. how come?
Did you change (or any virus change) your system date/time?
An antipiracy feature avoids the use of the Trial version for more than 60 days. So, from your first install to the second, does the system date/time changed?
I think you answered the question yourself. Avast gives you a 60-day trial only once, so that no-one installs it again & again for free (the Professional version at least, since you can get a free registration code for the home version for 1 year). Since you uninstalled it and installed it again, the program thinks you have already used the Pro trial once & won’t allow you again. You can send alwil sales department an e-mail for another key, by explaining them what happened & if the 6 days trial is not enough for you, Maybe they’ll give you some more days…
This has been covered before and Spyros wins a coconut for the his answer, once you uninstall the avast during the trial period, it is assumed that you have concluded the trial. This is also an anti-piracy feature as Tech mentioned (another coconut) to stop it being uninstalled near the end of the trial and reinstalled in the hope of getting another 60 days.
I think that 6 days are enough to try avast! 4 Professional features and also to test its compatibility with your system.
Additionally I think that we generated some 20 days demo key for you yesterday.
I uninstalled it because that was not what I originally wanted to install. I wanted the FREE version from Download.com. After uninstallation, I asked myself what the paid version offers. So I went to the website and saw some good things about the PRO edition plus the 60 days trial so I thought “what the heck, I might as well try it”.
So I reinstalled and you already know what happened.
