I downloaded avast and it did a cleanup but my embroidery software won’t load or open. Desperately need help to get it back ad it was very expensive.

Which version did you download? free, premium or one.

if you have the orange avast icon on bottom taskbar, right click on it then click manage sheilds, then disable for 10 minutes.

then try and run your software again.if it runs then it could be avast blocking it for some reason but if not then it could be just a coincidence its stopped working. then report back as the more info given the easier it may be to advise.

If for some reason your software was damaged or uninstalled, can’t you re-install it? Surely you have an installer for this expensive software? Or a licence that let’s you download and install it again?

Also; this is why I make regular backups. Worst case scenario, I can revert to a last known state.
