You could wear a disguise while surfing.
You could check this forum topic, which is about IE failing a privacy test, http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=58855.0
My Opinion on IE8 …It’s about 18 mg bytes of garbage it still has clicking sounds everytime it loads anything,…and if U surf for a few extra minutes slows your system down, cause of al lthe cookies it picks up…comes pre loaded with a whole bunch of addons that usually have problems or are disabled. All antispyware antivirus is usually based on protecting IE8 yet it’s still the biggest problem…It’s Privacy settings are not even written properly for you to understand them to set them up properly…Security settings you have to check every day and keep setting them to default and they still change on you…Gee I could probably write for hours…I keep IE7 as default browser just to check my email, and most of the software was set for IE…to work properly…80% of the time I Use Mozilla Firefox ,for the web…and I also love Opera but some games and flash isn’t that good on Opera, but definately is my favorite browser, and I wish they would fix the flash to work better…Firefox is very fast and if U download a couple of their security addons…like “Better Privacy” and “No Script”…you get a 5 star browser that keeps getting better…This is just My Opinion of IE8…I Also check USER ratings on all software and freeware on CNET.com —but be carefull if you are using IE8 when U Go there U might get a couple Tracking cookies like com.com and atdmt.com…have fun!!!
I custom my IE8.
Very occasionally, some programs run better with IE8 - are not mindful of other browser (formats, mainly)
I try remember to run these programs from IE8 - or I have to change-over mid-session.
