I found my pop-up dictionary in the virus chest...

Sorry - have just noticed that I have posted this in the wrong place.

I use a German pop-up dictionary by Langenscheidt, which allows me to highlight words, right-click on them, and look them up in the dictionary. But suddenly it didn’t work any more, and the .exe file could no longer be found.

I found it in the Virus Chest of Avast, and the information in ‘properties’ showed that it is infected with “Win32:Evo/gen”.

:frowning:

Does this mean that this programme has been targeted by a virus? Would I need to reinstall it? Or is this a false positive?

If it is a false positive, how do I get the programme out of the virus chest and stop Avast from putting it in quarantine?

I would be very thankful for help with this.

Please report the false positive here: http://www.avast.com/en-us/contact-form.php
