Hi, Avast
I used you products for a long period of time without any problem, so thank you for your work.
But for a few days I can’t register my Free Avast. I got new keys (eg. C34471664H1200A0716-BXC2HR03 ) as usual by using your registration form, and when I try to input them in Avast is says me, that those keys are invalid.
I inserted them by using copy/paste so there is no mistake.
Please, explane what I did wrong?

Welcome to the forum.
Some others, including myself also had that problem. Please refer to this thread https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=152804.0 - the 5th from the bottom reply from MartinZ for the answer. If this does’t work, then a complete uninstall using the Avast Uninstaller Tool and fresh install will do the trick. Let us know how you do.

but I alredy tried to uninstall Avast by using Avast Uninstall Utility (avastclear.exe) and install it once again, the result was the same. I also tried to make fresh install of Avast on a system where Avast has never been installed and I got the same message that the code I inputed is invalid.
So I have no idea what to do.

What previous antivirus (AV) did you have on this machine in the past?
What other security software do you have on this machine?
Are you trying to install Avast v. 2021?
FYI: You may want to delete (click the edit key on your first post) to “x” out part of your license for safety.

There was no antivirus software installed on that machine, because of fresh installation of Windows.
There were no any other security software on that machine too.
I don’t know what means ‘Avast v. 2021’ but I tried to install Avast by using original setup file, downloaded from avast.com.
I ordered two other keys from avast.com, but the result was the same: ‘invalid license code’.

Is there some problem that you cant use the registration process available via the GUI ???

There seems to be a few people here (see my link above) with the same problem, but now I’m wondering if there is a glitch. It took me quite a while and finally an uninstall/reinstall to resolve it.

v. 2021 is the version of Avast (the current one out there now). What is your OS (operating system)? When you did the uninstall of Avast using the Uninstaller Tool, you did this in Safe Mode? Did you reboot your machine after this prior to trying to install Avast again?
Just to verify, the licenses you got were emailed to you from Avast? If you did all of the above, I would put a support ticket in. In the meantime we will still be here to assist you.

My operating system is Windows 7 64-bit.
Of course, I used Uninstaller Tool in Safe Mode and rebooted system after that.
Yes, I got license keys from Avast and no one of them is suitable (not this one C34471664H1200A0716-BXC2HR03
not this C34470595H1200A0716-AYVEA2D3).
I’m not a newbie, I use Avast for 5 years and didn’t have any problems with renewing license.
Once again I wanna pay your attention to the fact that I tried to activate Avast on a fresh installation of Windows 7 64-bit on my friend’s computer and got the same problem.
