I got

I got 2x kernel32 and wsock32 on the chest and saved files do i need to delete one or i let the 2x kernel32 and wsock32 like that ?

You will notice the avast chest is in three sections:

  1. Infected Files, speaks for itself, any files detected by avast that you chose Move to Chest as the action.

  2. System files, back-up copies of important system files. There are (generally) files in the System Folder of the Chest: command.com, kernel 32.dll and wsock32.dll. During the installation, avast! copies some critical system files into the Chest, under the “System files” category. Those files might cause the operating system to crash if they get infected by a virus. If needed, those files can be restored from the Chest to their original location. Should an unknown virus infect the computer despite the extensive protection from the avast! antivirus package and alter an important system file, it can then be easily restored to its original state.

  3. User Files, an area for the user to import suspicious files that haven’t been detected so they can do no harm and can be sent by email to Alwil for further analysis.

You don’t say where in the chest, which section ?

As we have mentioned multiple times if located in the system files section of the chest they are back-up copies, leave them alone.

What is this saved files you are talking about ?

You may have multiple copies of three files in the system files section, if there is a windows update, etc. that changes the original another copy will be saved. You should see the different dates in the Transfer time column.

its in my save files yeah but its got like 2x wsock32.dll and kernel32.dll i can leave them alone ?

Yeah. When operational system updated that files, avast made another backup of them into Chest. Let them there.

k but its cant harm the memory of my cpu if i got many files on my chest or something ?

Short answer NO.

Thx you guy resolved my 2 questions so fast xD thank you very mush

Never? Why are you making a relationship between files into Chest and RAM and CPU? ???

i dont know i tought its was do that lol

This is the longer answer to your Reply #5 question ;D

The only impact files in the chest have on your system is the space used on the hard disk to store them.

The Chest is isolated from RAM unless you open the chest when there may be a tiny bit of RAM used in processing that via ashDisp.exe, etc.

The same is true of CPU the only impact would be the processor being used to carry out the task and that might have a very, very small blip on the on-chip memory of the CPU used for the processor to carry out instructions.
