I had a problem with a Windows black window!

First of all, I'd like to tell you sorry if my English isn't the best. As you may know by my name, which is CarlosSpain (Note the 'SPAIN'), I'm Spanish and my native language is Spanish, not English.

Hello AVAST! forum users! So, today, about 2-4 hours ago, I was playing a game on my computer when suddenly my game got minimized and it showed in the desktop a black window from Windows… It was one of those that suddenly appear and in 3 seconds disappear… But I remember it said something about “Program Files” and “Steam”… So, now, I’m wondering if it is a virus/malware/whatever or just something with Steam, such an update or something… And then it showed a second black windows, but I didn’t read the title… My questions:

-How can I be sure that it wasn’t a virus or something? My AVAST! didn’t say nothing.

-What do you think? Was it malware or …?

Some information:
-Windows 7 Home Premium - 64 Bits
-I didn’t install/download nothing new today.
-I just had Skype and the game opened, in the Task bar. (I had AVAST! and more programs too, of course!)
-Ask me for more if you need.

Thank you, people.

Hi,
It doesn’t sound like malware (more like graphic driver) but I can check your computer if you will.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (
http://www.mcshield.net/personal/magna86/Images/FRST_canned.png
) by Farbar and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

[*]Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Under Optional Scan ensure “Driver MD5” are ticked.
[*]Press Scan button.
[*]It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
[*]The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
