I have a problem with Scan Scheduler

I had Quick Scan scheduled for 21:00 and it ran at 17:00 every day. I rescheduled it for 23:00 and it runs at 15:00 every day. The Scan History shows the actual times it ran. Why is this?

maybe you found a bug … tried the new beta? https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=166172.0

I read the posts related to the beta issue. Some problems were reported and I’m not into using my primary PC as a test platform. I’ll wait until a stable update is released. In the meantime, I’ll fool around with the times a little and if I can’t get it to run properly, I’ll do the quick scans manually. Do you know if Quick Scan can be run with a command line? If so, I can run it with Task Scheduler.

you have real time potection, so any file/process that runs when computer is on is checked by realtime protection, so activly running malware will be detected

if you want to scan you may activate screensaver scan, then you dont have to think about doing it at all

Ok, thanks. As I was reading about the command line parameters, http://avast.helpmax.net/en/command-line-scanner/command-line-parameters/, I didn’t see a definition for Quick Scan there or in ashCmd.exe. I just removed the schedule from Quick Scan and I’ll not worry about it.

How to use the command-line scanner
This feature is only available in avast! Pro antivirus and avast! Internet Security.

Thanks. I know. I have Avast Internet Security. I may try the screensaver scan you suggested.

Hi, I would recommend the screen saver scan. It is the only one I use
