Help! I have this version of avast anti-virus software on my computer, and it found a trojan on this file: C\Windows\System32\mousecm.exe. I tried to delete it, and move it to chest, but it won’t allow me because I got a message saying that the file was being used by another process. Now, I’m getting a message that says it cannot process the file. If anyone knows how to get rid of this thing, please, please, please reply to this message and let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.
Are you using Windows XP?
Can you schedule a boot-time scanning?
Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning
Select for scanning archives.
Boot.
Access denied means, generally, that the file is in use by another process (program) and cannot be repaired/cleaned/moved/handled by avast!
I would recommend you try either or both of the following
FREE programs that “specialize” in removing trojans, worms
dialers, etc :
1) “Ewido” available from www.ewido.net/en
2) A-squared Free available from
www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free
If neither of these work, I recommend you post a logfile
in the forum of your antispyware.
Thank you to both of you…I really appreciate your advice.
But are you ok now? Was the problem corrected? :
