I have Avast 4.8 with a virus

I have 4.8 and it does not tell me about Win32.Trojan.gen. I desperately need to know how or what to use to get rid of this. I have had several so called Computer experts work on this computer and they all have no clue and have never gotten in resolved. I get a message quite often Generic Host process for Win32 services has encountered a problem and must close. One of these guys told me The Windows message I get is how they track me and its not Microsoft so I am afraid to send a message to microsoft when prompted after being shut down and restarted. Very frustrated.

Today we got some Windows 2009 scan that told us don’t know where it came from. Told my husband to shut down. It wouldn’t let us out so we had to Control Alt Delete to get rid of it.

I don’t understand why Avast does not pick it up or fix it. Does Avast have something I can purchase to remove this? Can anyone help me its been a year and I cannot afford another computer.

Thank you

Your Avast is very outdated! Download Avast 4.8 here: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html and try again.

Hi Jemkon

I seem you have a trojan problem first of all let me ask you if your avast is up to date

1.if its up to date then owkie
2 if its not up to date ( then you need to upgrade it to the latest version )

( Just click the Update in your Avast file afterward it will update automatically then performed the next scan check for the whole system scan if you ever found a virus just move it to chest then look for the virus that infected your PC ( Note" You need to move it to chest because you might delete something important for your system to work properly
)

Note: If all of this fails then try this

Download ChanKiller and then Scan Your System it will automatically scanned your system then delete it it will require a second scan

Download: link for ChannKiller

I Suggest You Try This ;D

check about
latest build is 4.8.1229

Malware Bytes Anti Malware is also a great tool to use when 2009 is suspected
please run
place a check mark next to all baddies and Click REMOVE- a backup will be made
post the log
some versions of the 2009 phony anti spyware use technology (ZLOB) which requires advanced measures
however the varying MIX of malware found requires that we also use general purpose tools like MBAM

After a year of total fustration and 3 different so called computer specialists. WOW! Its fixed. You guys are the greatest. I can’t thank you enough. My computer is screaming fast with no shutting down on me. I can’t figure how to put the smiley and the kiss here so I attached it. Thanks again you have made me sooooooo happy.

Jemkon

 Just click the smilie you want. Just make sure there is a space before and after it.

Well I have bad news. Everything was great. I turned off the computer last night and this morning was being shut down and was given these errors. (I don’t understand)C:\DOCUME~1\Admini~1\Temp\werdf7f-dir00\mini090108.01.dmp

Then C:\Docume~1\Admini~1Jem\locals~1\Temp\werdf7f.dir00\sysdata.xm

and C:\Docume~1Admini~1.Jem\locals!1\templbfdf_appcompat.txt

I went to windows and updated. Everything up to date. I have Avast updated daily (auto) tells me updated when signing on.

ran spyware doctor only one adware fixed.

Ran malwarebytes all OK.

I keep thinking to wipe my computer and put original disc in that you get when you purchase, but really hate to do that.

Very fustrated.

I sent the reports to Microsoft but it never does any good. Wonder if its really Microsoft? It appears to be.

Those 3 files are in Temporary locations so there should be no problem.

Is your computer running good otherwise?

So far so good. I was just being shut down with the microsoft errors. That has been a major problem for a year. So far have not been shut down. Maybe this is something to do with starting up the computer after turning it off. I am trying to learn but obviously no genius. How does the saying go know enough to be dangerous. LOL.

lets run ccleaner and see how much it finds
secunia software advisor
check add / remove programs for duplicates
any old java- us javara to nuke them and install latest java
any other av’s installed on this machine, ever, preinstalled, which ones?
any anti spyware load on boot
one thing that may work is to shut down some apps manually before shutting down
