i have free avast for home 4.6 and

i want to know if there is a newer up dated version free for home xp users i updated just a while ago and wondered if that was the newest one ? it shows 4.6 version
if not where do i go to get newest update cersion free for home use?

Hello and welcome :slight_smile:

The latest program version is 4.6.763 for both Home and Pro versions and the latest VPS update is 0605-1 :wink:
To update your program you need just to start the program updater: right click on the “a” ball in the system tray, go to “update” and click “program update” and the program will update to the latest version(the program update updates the program itself and the VPS)
Also you can visit www.avast.com for more info about the latest version of the program and the VPS :wink:

 You can always check Avast's "main" page for that info;
 currently it says :

"avast! 4 Home/Pro Edition
  program: 4.6.763 28.1.2006 "

 Always include the info after "4.6" .
