I have no idea what happened

Ok lets just go with it:

When I click start Avast ! antivirus I get a : Unknown Error. Program cannot load INews (C:\ProgramFiles\AlwilSoftware\Avast4\DATA\INews.htm)

Resident Protection is disabled… actually everything is disabled

It has a lil red circle with the line going through it… RCB or whatever its called. I did what the website said to do but it didnt work

when i try to download a new avast program it says a setiface error has occured:2 try to reinstall or contact support please,
an error (ooooooow) has occurred. Last performed operation was: spawning

Can anyone please help me

Have (or did) you another AV installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

Answer DavidR question first. If your using any other AV then Avast and the other AV conflict. If your not using any other AV on your system and just only avast then try uninstall avast with aswclear.exe and then reinstall avast.
