I closed that out, and istall seemed to go okay, but WTF?
How exactly did you try to install?
What OS are you using?
Windows Vista 64bit, and ran the Avast setup, I’ve had installed before and didn’t have this prob till now
It sure would be easier if you to PROFILE then Modify Profile then Forum Profile Information then Signature: and put information about your system just like my signature about your system just like my signature so that the helpers can offer pertinent advice.
Have you tried a clean install as recommended ???

Just run the setup executable (links above). This version needs to be installed from scratch, i.e. updating from a previous version of avast won’t work. This will be fixed relatively soon - however, for now, the only option is to really uninstall the version you’re using (if any), reboot, and install this beta.
Yes I did, and I uninstalled the beta crap and went back to 5.1, but still getting this now
So Avast did install properly??? Like I said, all seems to be working fine
On your signature please list other software you have on your HDD. For example MalwareBytes, Super Anti-Spyware, CCLeaner among others. Having this information will allow us to better answer your questions. We know how frustrating things can get. All we want to do is help others.
