I keep losing wifi connection

I keep losing wifi connection its happened like 3 times today… it just happened like 5 minutes apart this time but earlier was like way earlier today… I use the troubleshooter and it says the windows wireless service has stopped but it fixes it… What could be causing it? Avast isn’t causing this is it?

attach FRST diagnostic logs so essexboy can have a look

What does FRST even do? This shouldn’t be happening… I just had this clean install done not to long ago… haven’t installed nothing fishy at all.

What does FRST even do?
it produce two diagnostic logs, Essexboy may see if there is anything strange in there

done.

He is usually online after 15:00 european time

In case you wonder what the time is here now > http://www.timeanddate.com/

You are showing several errors on ntdll however, that has little bearing on the network

What is your wireless card ?

Realtek Wireless LAN driver.
Also when i just turned on my laptop i noticed somehow windows powershell got added to startup…

Hmm I can see no reason for powershell to run as there are no run commands associated with it.

Have you recently added a programme ?

I’ve been testing out a few screen recorders like Flashback by blueberry, apowersoft, hypercam2… Last night i installed a codec called xVid which seems to be ok to record with… But that shouldn’t have caused powershell to be there right?

What caused the wifi service to stop yesterday, and such…

Check if the channel you are using is busy.
Try other channels.

I don’t understand… ???

Try other channels for your wifi connection.

I don’t know how to do that… I just go down to the taskbar > click the network connection icon, and select my home’s WiFi network type the password and such…

Edit: I googled what you were talking about… Google said it means going into the router to change things… I don’t know the password to my router at all my ISP manages all that.

Blocking airflow to the router, modem or combo can cause things to overheat. Make sure you do not have anything stacked on top of or below either of these.

Also, try removing the power from the router and/or modem for a few minutes then apply power again.

My sister had her internet connection drop in and out and I found that she had stacked the router on top of the modem which caused both to become very hot.

Router isn’t the problem, i can confirm this… I ran the troubleshooter in windows 8.1 it said the Wireless service had stopped and it started it back up again for me… But what i am not getting why did the service in windows stop like that 3 times…

Have you tried going into event viewer to see if it might show errors?

What about updating your wireless network adapter?

I haven’t done that.

edit: I’m going to uninstall xVid and see if powershell disappears from startup… If not I’m going to use CCleaner to try to delete the entry on startup.

I saw no powershell startup entry

In the screenshot i provided there is… Given I installed xVid after the FRST scan… I’ll do another if you want.

EDIT: I removed xVid and the powershell startup entry is now gone…

Edit: I am on my laptop now and so far so good, wifi is keeping today it seems… If i get disconnected any today i’ll reply in the topic letting you guys know.
