I need aswcmnos.dll to install avast 4

I need the file because i want to install Avast 4 Home and I cannot find it.
Is it posible somebody send to me by e-mail.

That file should be in the installer package. What is the exact error you are getting and at what stage?

I just tested it here with both the home and pro installer, and I do notice a problem with the installer. (don’t know if it is related or not though)

Here it says :

This setup does not contain all the needed components. Uninstall the current version and run the setup again, please

although I have Avast Pro (up-to-date) installed. ???

What exactly do you mean, “you cannot find it”?
It is just one of avast! files, extracted to the avast! folder during its installation (and it’s certainly not needed for the installer itself to run).

Because when I try to install it one message tells me:

avast.setup - It can not find the component
Error when the aplication try to begin because it can not find ASWCMNOS.DLL.
The reinstalation of the aplication can resolve the problem.

Could you try to search your hard disk for the aswCmnOS.dll file? (e.g. using the windows Find tool) Are there any?

I receive the same error message when trying to install the free home edition. I have redownloaded the installer multiple times, searched my hard drive for aswcm*.dll (nothing) and have never used a keygen for Avast before (as was the comment on other threads talking about this issue).

Seems like many people are experiencing this problem. Any solutions?

Try running the setup program with the /forceinstall parameter. Like

setupeng.exe /forceinstall

Thanks Vlk - that seems to have worked. I still got the error message when installing, but the program installed and is running now.
