HELP Me !!!
Hi mazrock and welcome to the wonderful Avast forum if you have a look at some of the postings at the below URL it may help to solve your problem
Why don’t you help us to help you?
Can you give more details of your computer? Operational system, firewall, other security problems, etc.?
amd duron 1.3 ghz, 512 ram, windows XP i don’t understand how details can help you. this is about the program that i have problem
Which program are you talking about? avast? Which is the error message?
It’s a lack of information… we can’t help…
first i have not internet at home, so i don’t use firewall.the error message is about avast 4.6, when i sut down my OS (Windows XP pro ) with sp1
- Which message? Can you post its text?
- Why don’t you use SP2?
i don’t use sp2 because i know that would make problems with my computer, so when i shut down windows, i can see “memory can’t be written” or also like that but my puter can shutd down
This could be a problem of avast! at Windows SP1… If you search the board for memory can’t be written you’ll find more info…
I have XP SP1 and I do not have a problem with Avast;
I do not install SP2 because I do not want to mess around
with their “Security Center”, since I have been advised to
turn OFF various features there, like their firewall .
