After reading other postings with a simialr probelm, I decided to download Avast!, scan, it would not delete or move my infected files. Now I am running HiJackThis and need help.

Katrina,

Have you run Avast’s Boot time scan? Avast will take care of Viruses but not much in the way of spyware. See this page

For an on-line scan of your Hijackthis log file try here http://hijackthis.de/index.php

I see Bob is also trying to help you. I don’t think this forum can really help you with the Hijack-this log file but maybe i’m wrong. There are lots of those forums out there.
This one looks like it might help.
CastleCops » Hijackthis - Spyware, Viruses, Worms, Trojans Oh My!

Katrinas , Hi and welcome , there are plenty of people who can read your HJT log here and help.
it seems you have a lot of evidence on that log of an association (previous use perhaps) of norton A/V. This will create the problems / trouble you speak of if it hasnt been uninstalled properly.
My suggestion would be to check that out first.

To find out what to keep and what not with HijackThis, use Eddy’s “HijackThis Log File Analyzer”. Download it here: http://212.204.166.18/cgi-bin/download.pl?file=hjt11.000.exe.
