Hello galega !

I am in no way an expert at this but i’ll try to help you anyways.
Well if you put those files into the chest then you should be fine as they can’t do any harm from there. But it would be nice if you could run some more scans to make sure there aren’t any leftovers from the infection on your machine. I suggest you first run another avast! scan and then a scan with AVG Antispyware . A web scan would be good aswell. Something like this : http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Please report back when you’ve done all of this.

Also this board is for general disscusion , infection problems go in here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=4.0

Welcome to the forum btw …

Could you also post a HJT log ?

Thanks,

Mikey

You did the right thing.
File into Chest (Quarantine) are safe to stay there. There is no rush to delete anything from the Chest, a protected area where it can do no harm. Anything that you send to the Chest you should leave there for a few weeks. If after that time you have suffered no adverse effects from moving these to the Chest, scan them again (right clicking the file inside the Chest) and if they are still detected as viruses, delete them.

You need to open the avast Chest, start as if going to run an on-demand scan, click the menu and select virus Chest, Infected Files, here you will find those files you sent to the Chest. They can be rescanned from within the Chest and deleted, etc.

It will be good if you download, install, update and run AVG Antispyware. Some users recommend SUPERantispyware, Spyware Terminator and/or a-squared.

I have spybot, it is good or no?? Well I already delete the virus.
Thanks

It’s good, but it does not replace the other antitrojan tools posted here. You can have all, they won’t conflict.

I am sorry

The programs mentioned by Tech are more specialised anti-spyware/trojan applications.

Personally I uninstalled spybot S&D as it didn’t seem to be very effective it never picked anything, perhaps because I also had AdAware and AVG anti-spyware. However there are some who feel it catches some stuff others doesn’t. What it shouldn’t be is lonely, installing one of the other applications like AVG anti-spyware will combine detections (overlap) improving overall protection.

No need to be sorry… living and learning… Welcome to avast forums 8)
