I need opinion about some AEC feature...

I was thinking about avast! Main Control part of my AEC.
Lately i had several problems with termination of avast! in order to restart or disable it.
Usually damn ashDisp.exe simply refuses to disable,next time ashServ.exe does the same thing. I know this means that AEC will miss main functionality,but i think this is the best way. I also have loads of code patched from before and it looks more like garbage than anything good now. Log off should do the trick for tweaks i belive,otherwise system restart.
What do you think? I really have hard time with this feature and i don’t know how to make it working with avast!. I’d like to focus on new things,but i’m not sure if this would be a good move…

Btw,maybe everything isn’t so bad,at least for NT systems.
I found out that simple Log off and log in is enough to reflect tweaked changes.
So it’s way faster than full system reboot.

Yes, it worked erratic for me in the past… sometimes I could not restart avast by AEC.
Logoff should be easier than boot 8)
I’ve posted elsewhere my opinion about other features of AEC (more tweakers) 8)
