I received hack tool (for Avast employees only )

please analyze this file its made for hack emails .it was E-mail attachment
note for users Don’t open it at all please you will be hacked

DON’T POST MALWARE ON THE FORUMS, EVEN WITH A WARNING

(if it’s really malware, but I won’t check ::slight_smile: )

so why on earth you are blaming him without knowing exactly if its malware or not? ???

oh, and that harmless txt file contains only link to download of malware.

EDIT: TE report: http://www.threatexpert.com/report.aspx?md5=9dea8ac541c0186b64d68d69c60574d6

looks like a Bifrost trojan.

Virus-total results:

Pretty confusing. Only a few antivirus products detect it, however, these are pretty good products, so…

JUST IN CASE MAN ::slight_smile: + the OP is saying himself that that’s malware, so some doubt is allowed right ??? and it didn’t occur to you that others might click ??? (whether it contains just a link or if it’s malicious I couldn’t care less, the goal being to avoid taking any risk ok? …now feel free to do what you want on your system ::slight_smile: )

txt files cant harm you at all :wink:

I knew it, just had doubts when the OP said opening it could etc…etc…thought some code could be executed, but indeed, as long as it’s got the txt extension there’s not much to fear. Sorry :wink:

i think it’s encrypted keylogger and server :frowning:

have this information been sent to avast for analyse?

Hi malware fighters,

This malware is not that easily detected because it lacks obvious symptoms of infection and creates a way to remote control the infected OS:
