Ardamax is a question without answer… it can be easily abused, but it is clean itself… is it white? black? gray? and what to do with it?

For be more complex he got a Ardamax Spyware Trojan on it

I still wait for the respond of you for the virus because like i say a spyware trojan i think its can steal my personal detail so i didnt want it happaned to do that but for now i didnt executed the virus i just quaranted it on my user files and sended it to you

Sry for the double post

I think Maxx has already addressed an answer here…

Several of us have in Mr.Agent previous posts about it.

It is a legitimate tool which can be used for malicious purposes. The user if they installed it legitimately have nothing to fear, if they didn’t install it then there is a possibility that is is malicious or the administrator is keeping an eye on what users are doing.

Well you think its clean when 37 anti virus detect it ? are you sure

Why do we constantly have to repeat ourselves the reasons given have nothing to do with what ‘other’ AVs have chosen to do, as has been said I don’t know how many times, avast used to detect it but it was removed as it is a legitimate program and in itself isn’t malware/spyware.

The fact that it can be misused or abused is neither here not there, avast can’t detect intent, is it being used for good or evil.

Ok i trust you sry david and the other for repeating my self i was not that sure but now im sure at 100 % thx davidr

-= It may be clean but it still pose a threat so why don’t avast add it to its detections as “Ardamax - Possible threat”

we plan to do that in avast v5

ok well avast! 5 will rock with what i have heard  nice

Do you mean we’ll have an option to detect tools, possible unwanted software?

Tech: we want to make some scaling, including the PUP category (turned off by default)

Ok. Thanks for the info.

-= Well, in that case, avast 5 could get a higher score in different AV tests…

Yes like in the 99 % i hope

Well 3 to 4 month left. ;D

-= Aww… 3 to 4… But I guess the time for preparation will pay off in its performance… ;D

Yeah, I hope so too. Also keep in mind that this is a bit odd for Avast. We usually get incremental upgrades and now we are going from 4.8 strait to 5.0. ;D
