I thought I had paid for all Avast

I just cannot believe that after several chats with customer services, with them confirming that I have the “full” membership with Avast, yet again I am being bombarded with “get the upgrade” it took me over 20 minutes to check my security all because of ott advertising which to be frank is starting to piss me off. Please stop or refund me. I have mental health issues, had 3 operations, so going on line stops me for getting bored. Please sort this out. Thank you in advance.

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member, as are most of the respondents here.

Not entirely sure what these are from your information, but I suspect it may be promotions.

Avast in program ADs - see attached settings images, which may reduce them if my suspicions are correct.

  • These are a fact of the free version, but can be removed in paid versions of Avast - AvastUI > Menu > Settings > General - Personal Privacy and you can uncheck them, ‘Show offers for other Avast Products’ and ‘Show offers for 3rd party products’.
  • Also check the AvastUI > Menu > Settings > Notifications - Limited Mode.
